Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach five classes each fall and spring in a learner-centered environment and supervise teacher candidates in field experiences. Instructors are expected to attend department and college meetings, and to provide service to the department as determined by the department chair. This position reports to the Teacher Education Department Chair in the Millicent Atkins School of Education at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a master’s degree in special education or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate level credits in special education. The ideal candidate will have p-12 teaching experience in the field of education. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teacher education and the ability to build an effective rapport with undergraduate students in online and face-to-face learning environments.
