Maintenance technician Part-time (30 hours)
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
TYPE OF POSITION: Regular Part Time (30 hours), M-F 9 - 4 PM, Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician Specialist is responsible to perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services at the Boys and Girls Club of Aberdeen Area.
MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services
2. Install light bulbs, doors, cabinets, paneling, Formica, carpet, and bulletin boards
3. Schedule and complete the “Preventative Maintenance Program”
4. Paint interior and exterior walls and cabinets; hang pictures; assemble furniture
5. Replace washers, faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment; and repair leaky faucets and clean clogged drains
6. Complete grounds work which may include mowing, shoveling, picking up trash, sweeping and maintaining playground equipment
7. Maintain a professional courteous manner with all members, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
8. Assure safety standards are used which comply with all necessary guidelines
9. Perform a variety of cleaning throughout the building and on its grounds
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors
2. Responsible for emergency maintenance service as scheduled
3. Coordinate special projects as needed
4. Other duties as assigned
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
1. Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
2. Maintain a professional courteous manner with all members, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
3. Ability to multi-task
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. This job requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
2. Able to lift, reach and bend moderate to heavy items
3. Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined
SALARY INFORMATION: $13.00 – $16.00 hourly DOE
HOURS: 9:00 – 4:00 P.M.
