Northern State University is seeking part-time help as a game-day custodian to assist with both Northern State University and Roncalli High School football games. As a Game Day Custodian, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and overall positive experience for attendees at our sporting events. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for maintaining the venue’s cleanliness and sanitation standards during and after games.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-game preparations, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, concourses, and seating areas to ensure they are presentable and safe for spectators.
  • Monitor and restock supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, throughout the event to ensure facilities are well-equipped at all times.
  • Respond promptly to spillages, litter, and other cleaning emergencies during the game to uphold a tidy and pleasant atmosphere for attendees.
  • Collaborate with fellow custodial staff to manage waste disposal efficiently and ensure recycling efforts are being upheld.
  • Work approximately 5-6 hours each game.

Knowledge and Experience

Previous experience in custodial or cleaning roles is preferred, but not required.

Required qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, and performing cleaning tasks for extended periods.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per event schedules.
