Job Description
We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the meat industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Plant Manager to their team. Responsibilities include:
1) Promote a safe working environment following company, state and federal safety policies, regulations and laws
2) Provide leadership, development, and management to all team members to promote positive company culture and individual growth
3) Coordinate, managers, and monitor the productivity of the plant
4) Ensure that all key performance indicators and goals are achieved, production operation targets are reached, on-time delivery of higher quality products is met, and inventory is controlled
5) Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams and develop an effective Production Team
6) Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals related to quality and customer service for all departments
7) Ensure that all departments meet national and international compliance standards
8) Control and manage facility infrastructure and equipment to ensure operational readiness and uptime within a set budget
9) Implement quality improvement principles to the production process resulting in improved employee productivity
10) Coordinate with the quality assurance personnel to ensure acceptable standards are met and generate positive feedback from customers
11) Prepare and control operational budget plans and effective strategies for the financial well-being of the company
12) Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activities and facility uptime
13) Direct work, appraise performance, reward and correct employees as needed to ensure complaints are addressed and problems are solved
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the meat industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in operations management
