Agtegra Cooperative is seeking a Precision Ag Equipment Technician in Bath, SD.


Under the general supervision of the Precision Ag Service Manager, this position is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and correcting deficiencies on various equipment according to specifications. The service technician will also provide customer support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*


Perform general service, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on planters, combines, tractors, etc., specializing in precision equipment
Maintains and operates equipment in a safe and proper manner
Possessing a general knowledge of all 12-volt electrical systems, Ag Equipment Mechanical, and Hydraulic Systems
Assisting in maintenance and cleanliness of facility, equipment, and grounds
Greeting and communicating with customers in a professional and courteous manner
After hours and weekend work seasonally as needed
Understanding and following all safety and rules and regulations
Assists in any customer/employee training seminars
Research and test new developments in equipment technology
Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required*


Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems and Ag Equipment Mechanical and Hydraulic Systems. Basic organization skills to track inventory and orders.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (M.S. Word, and Excel), Windows operating platforms and internet browsers.
