Reports to: Department Manager (Harvest/Fabrication)


Pay Grade: 1 to 7 ($20.00 to $27.00)


What You Will Be Doing:


· Fabrication: A combination of processes to remove bones and cut meat in to specified standards to be distributed to customers; using knives, saws, air knives, scales, and other machinery.


· Harvest: The process of removing the hide, viscera and trimming all contamination from carcasses after slaughter; using various machinery, knives, and hands.


· Perform a variety of specialized tasks in a cold or hot environment.


· Compliance with all food safety policies and regulations.


· Adhere to all safety and housekeeping processes and procedures.


What We Are Looking For:


· Perform physical tasks which require upper body strength and constant repetitive movements.


· Stand on hard surfaces the entire shift; use of stairs and personal protection equipment (PPE) is required in all areas of the facility.


· Ability to lift-up to 50lbs frequently


· Ability to work at a fast pace


· Report to work area on time and excellent attendance


· Communicate with co-workers and management


Work Environment & Physical Demands:

The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.


Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

· Frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
