Residential Counselor/Worker, New Beginnings Center
Up to $600 Hiring Bonus*
Must be at least 21 years old and be able to complete orientation training according to agency program standards. Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Willingness to submit to record checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, distributing drugs or sex crimes. Requires a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
Role and Responsibilities
Provide supervision and support for youth in group care. Qualified applicant will provide direct client care, maintain/model appropriate boundaries, and teach applicable coping and problem-solving skills. Complete reports and documentation as necessary.
Required qualifications
Residential Counselor position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science OR 48 credit hours of post-secondary education and a minimum of 1 year experience working with children; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Residential Worker position requires a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
