Direct Technologies is seeking a Security Techinican to install and service commercial security, access controls, and surveillance systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and configure/program access controls, security, camera systems, audio/video systems.
Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots, re-configures, and tests equipment and devices associated and repairs as necessary.
Performs upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality and usability.
Installation of projects.
Performs service tasks required to fulfill requirements.
Read and understand drawings and prints to install the correct equipment in the correct locations.
Provides technical support with programming and hardware support to other technicians, management and sales force.
Be a TEAM player.
The Security Technician will report directly to a project superintendent. This individual may be required to travel to industrial and commercial sites, and will also complete projects in the Sioux Falls, SD office.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
Electronics and troubleshooting skills are required.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be able to climb ladders and carry a backpack of 50+ pounds unassisted.
Provide good problem-solving skills and customer service.
Experience working with hand and power tools.
Knowledge of safe work practices and safety procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Graduate or GED required. Associate degree preferred (Construction, IT, Manufacturing).
Valid driver’s license/good driving record required.
Ability to pass background checks and drug tests required.
Desired ability to learn installation process of various technologies.
Ability to travel, including overnights, as needed.
